Bringing New Life to a Century-Old Treasure
Since taking over stewardship of the Little White Church, the Old Hope Society has worked tirelessly to restore and preserve the building’s character while ensuring it can continue serving the community for generations to come. Every repair, coat of paint, and careful detail has been done with respect for its history and love for what this chapel represents — hope, heritage, and heart.

2019 – A New Roof Overhead
In June 2019, Raser Shingling & Exteriors completed the installation of a new roof and shingles, protecting the church from the elements and marking the first major step in its restoration journey.

2022 – Structural Care and a Fresh Face
By July 2022, the exterior was repainted, returning the building’s trademark bright white finish and timeless charm.
That same summer, the front steps were replaced, ensuring safe and welcoming access for visitors.
In September 2022, the foundation was repaired, reinforcing the structure and securing the church’s future stability.

2023 – Beginning Interior Renewal
The Old Hope Society turned their focus indoors in April 2023, starting a full interior cleaning of the chapel.
By June 2023, priming and interior painting began, brightening the space while keeping its original warmth intact.

The original cross was lovingly reinstalled in the apse.

Ongoing Improvements

-
The addition of a washroom and small kitchen at the back of the church for modern event needs.

Stained glass window repairs, preserving the historic artistry that fills the space with color and light.

Looking Ahead
